Joey Wheeler is a main character in Yu-Gi-Oh: Duel Monsters. He is best friends with Yugi Muto.
Personality[]
Joey is a very hotheaded character, willing to pick fights with strangers who don't see his way of thinking. He is known to have very little self-control and usually acts before thinking. Compared to Yugi who is very calm and in control during duels, Joey has little confidence, which results in him making mistakes easily.
Family[]
Joey's parents are divorced, which separated him and his sister, Serenity. During the series, Serenity manages to contact Joey, hoping to be able to see him one last time. Joey tells his friends that she has very poor eyesight, and eventually, she'll become completely blind. Joey reflects on the time him and sister went to the beach and had a really fun day, before their parents divorce. They promised they would go back there no matter what happened.
